And then there were...4? (Post #11)

This morning when I took my daily Covid test, I received an unwelcome, yet not entirely unwelcome, surprise. Yup, I tested positive. This is entirely my own fault. No, I didn’t slip up masking or washing my hands, or distancing, last night I prayed (admittedly with a bit of frustration) that God would clearly show us when we should “amalgamate the households again.” Ken and I were unsure what criteria to use to determine whether a family member was contagious; even negative rapid tests are no guarantee of lack of transmission. So God made it easy.  ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ‍♀️

I feel like I’m fighting a head cold and have a low-grade fever, but otherwise, so far I feel fine. So here’s the question: why get Covid now? No idea. Again, I don’t need to have the answers. However, I must admit to missing my family a lot. Although it was romantic to speak with my husband through the window, I missed the hugs and time spent hanging out on the couch. So have I had Covid for days and was my viral load finally high enough today to show up on the rapid test? Possibly. Women with O- blood type have been shown to have increased immunity to Covid, both in terms of avoiding it entirely and having better outcomes. I could really use a break! Or perhaps I did only contract it recently; it doesn’t really matter.

So, what’s up with the weird title?  Well, Donovan probably had Covid first (hospital acquired?) and today he tested negative. He is symptom-free, and most importantly, able to pick up Sunday lunch at DQ using the drive-thru, wearing a mask. ๐Ÿฆ Ken and Stefan only have the mildest of cold symptoms and even Marigan is feeling better. (Thanks for your prayers!)

Now, I KNOW I’m going to make eyes roll by saying this, but did you really expect anything less?  I wonder how God is going to make this work for my good! (Go ahead, roll ‘em, it’s fine; I had 3 teens in the house for 11 years! )
